Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms and conditions are intended to regulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the site and users in using the internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as "Services") provided on www.keojintech.co.kr (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") operated by Geomyung Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") which is an e-commerce business operator.
※ "These terms and conditions shall also apply to electronic commerce using PC communication and wireless communication, unless it contradicts the nature of such transactions."

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "Site" refers to a virtual business place set up by the Company using information and communication facilities such as computers to enable the trading of goods or services (hereinafter referred to as "Goods, etc.") with users, and also refers to a business operator operating a cyber mall.
2. "User" refers to a general member, genuine member, or non-member who accesses the Site and receives the services provided by the Site according to these terms and conditions, and except for non-members, refers to general members and genuine members as "Members."
3. "Terms and Conditions" refer to the contract between the Site and the user regarding the use of the services.
4. "General Member" refers to a person who provides personal information to the Site, registers as a member, continuously receives information from the Site, and can continuously use the services provided by the Site.
5. "Genuine Member" refers to a general member who has purchased products distributed by the Company, registered the unique number of the product, and received approval.
6. "Non-member" refers to a person who uses the services provided by the Site without joining as a member.
7. "ID" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the user and assigned by the Site for the identification of the user and for the user's use of the services.
8. "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the user to confirm that the user is the same person as the registered member and to protect the user's personal information in communication.
9. "Withdrawal (Termination)" refers to the act of a member terminating the service contract.
10. Terms not defined in these terms and conditions are defined in separate terms and conditions and usage rules for each individual service.

Article 3 (Specification, Explanation, and Amendment of Terms and Conditions)

1. The Site shall post on the initial service screen (front) of the Site the contents of these terms and conditions, the name and representative, the address of the business place (including the address where consumer complaints can be handled), telephone number, fax number, email address, business registration number, and electronic commerce registration number so that users can easily find them. However, the contents of the terms and conditions may be made available to users through a linked screen.
2. The Site may amend these terms and conditions within the scope not violating the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act, Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, Electronic Financial Transactions Act, Electronic Signature Act, Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization, etc., Act on Door-to-Door Sales, Consumer Protection Act, and other related laws.
3. When the Site amends the terms and conditions, it shall give notice of the amendment date and reason for the amendment, together with the current terms and conditions, on the initial screen of the Site from 7 days before the application date to the day before the application date. However, in the case of changing the terms and conditions unfavorably to users, the Site shall give a prior notice period of at least 30 days. In this case, the Site shall clearly indicate the pre-amendment and post-amendment contents to make it easy for users to understand.
4. In the event of amending the terms and conditions, the amended terms and conditions shall only apply to contracts concluded after the effective date of the amendment, and the pre-amendment terms and conditions shall apply to contracts already concluded. However, if a user who has already entered into a contract wishes to be subject to the amended terms and conditions, the amended terms and conditions shall apply if the user sends a request to the Site for consent within the notice period of the amended terms and conditions as stipulated in paragraph 3.
5. Matters not provided for in these terms and conditions and the interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act, Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, Guidelines for Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection established by the Fair Trade Commission, relevant laws and regulations, or commercial practices.

Article 4 (Agreement to Terms and Conditions)

1. The Site provides services to users on the condition that users agree to the contents of these terms and conditions. If users agree to the contents of these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall apply preferentially to the Site's provision of services and users' use of services.
2. Agreeing to these terms and conditions means agreeing to regularly visit the Site to check for changes to the terms and conditions. The Site shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users due to their lack of knowledge of the amended terms and conditions unless such damages result from the intentional or negligent acts of the Site.
3. If a member does not agree to the amended terms and conditions, the member may request withdrawal (termination) of membership. If the member continues to use the service without expressing a refusal after 7 days from the effective date of the amended terms and conditions, it shall be deemed that the member has agreed to the amended terms and conditions.

Article 5 (Provision and Modification of Services)

1. The Site performs the following tasks:

  • ① Providing information on goods or services and concluding purchase contracts
  • ② Delivery of goods or services for which purchase contracts have been concluded
  • ③ Providing all services provided by the Site through self-development or consultation with other institutions
  • ④ Additional services and auxiliary services provided through affiliated businesses
  • ⑤ Other tasks designated by the Site

2. In the event of goods being sold out or changes in technical specifications, etc., the Site may change the contents of goods or services to be provided under future contracts. In this case, the Site shall immediately notify the changed contents of goods or services and the date of provision in the place where the current contents of goods or services are posted.
3. If the Site changes the content of the service agreed upon with the user due to reasons such as the sold-out status of goods or changes in technical specifications, the Site shall immediately notify the user of such reasons to an address where notification is possible.
4. In the case of the preceding paragraph, the Site shall compensate the user for any damages suffered as a result. However, this shall not apply if the Site proves that there was no intention or negligence on its part.

Article 6 (Service Hours)

1. The service hours are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless there is a special inconvenience in the Site's business or technology.
2. The days or hours designated by the Site for regular inspections or other necessary purposes during the service hours specified in paragraph 1 shall be exceptions.
3. The Site may designate separate hours of availability for each specific range by dividing the service into specific ranges. However, in this case, the Site shall announce the details.

Article 7 (Modification, Change, Suspension, and Notice of Service)

1. The Site may temporarily modify or change the service after prior notice, and shall not be liable to users or third parties for such modification or change.
2. In case the Site needs to temporarily suspend the service due to difficulties in providing normal service, the Site may suspend the service after giving notice of the suspension reason and time one week in advance. During this period, the Site shall not be liable for damages incurred by users or third parties, unless there is intentional or gross negligence. In addition, in unavoidable circumstances, the prior notice period may be reduced or omitted.
3. Notwithstanding paragraph 2, in cases where prior notice is difficult due to the nature of the following circumstances, the Site shall give notice as soon as possible after the event:

  • ① National emergencies, communication interruptions, power outages, natural disasters, etc.
  • ② Failure of service equipment or inability to provide normal service due to excessive service usage
  • ③ Emergency system inspection, expansion, and replacement
  • ④ Regular inspections are necessary
  • ⑤ Other unavoidable circumstances

4. If the Site needs to permanently suspend the service due to its circumstances, it shall do so in accordance with paragraph 2. However, in this case, the prior notice period shall be one month.
5. If the Site becomes unable to provide the service due to reasons such as change of business type, abandonment of business, or integration between companies, the Site shall notify users in accordance with Article 10 and compensate consumers according to the conditions initially provided by the Site. However, if the Site has not notified the compensation criteria, the Site shall provide users with mileage or points equivalent to the currency value used on the Site, in kind or in cash.

Article 8 (Obligations of the Site)

1. The Site shall not engage in acts prohibited by law or contrary to public morals and shall make best efforts to provide goods and services continuously and stably in accordance with this Agreement.
2. The Site shall establish a security system to protect the personal information (including credit information) of users so that users can safely use the internet service.
3. If the Site causes damage to users by engaging in unfair display or advertising practices as defined in Article 3 of the Act on Fair Display and Advertising of Goods and Services, it shall be liable for compensation.
4. The Site shall not disclose or distribute the personal information of members to third parties without the member's consent. However, this does not apply in cases where there is a request from relevant government agencies or other authorities under laws related to electronic communications and other relevant laws.
5. The Site shall not send commercial electronic mails for profit-making purposes without the consent of users.

Article 9 (Obligations of Users)

1. Users shall not engage in the following actions:

  • ① Registering false information when applying or modifying
  • ② Impersonating others or collecting/storing others' information
  • ③ Modifying information posted on the site
  • ④ Transmitting or posting information (computer programs, etc.) other than the information specified by the site
  • ⑤ Infringing on the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of third parties
  • ⑥ Damaging the honor of the site or interfering with its business
  • ⑦ Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, sounds, or other information that violates public morals on the site
  • ⑧ Posting, publishing, sending unauthorized advertisements, promotional materials, spam emails, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation without the site's approval
  • ⑨ Engaging in hacking or spreading computer viruses
  • ⑩ Continuously sending advertising information or certain content to others against their will
  • ⑪ Engaging in any actions that may disrupt or threaten the safe operation of the service
  • ⑫ Engaging in criminal activities or other activities related to criminal activities
  • ⑬ Engaging in any other acts that violate laws, good customs, social order, or morals

2. If the Site has reasonable grounds to believe that a user has engaged in actions that violate the contents of this Agreement or is suspected of violating it, the Site may restrict or suspend the user's use of the service or terminate the user agreement without the user's consent. In this case, the Site may prohibit the user's access, and the Site shall not be liable for any disadvantages arising therefrom.
3. Members may not transfer or donate their rights to use the service or other status under the usage agreement to others, nor may they provide them as collateral.
4. Members may not engage in any profit-making activities using the service without prior approval from the Site.

Article 10 (Indemnification)

1. The Site shall not be liable for any damages incurred by members in connection with the free services provided, except in cases where the Site intentionally commits criminal acts.
2. The Site shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by the user's fault.

Article 11 (Relationship between Linked Sites and Linked Sites)

1. When a hyperlink method (e.g., including characters, images, and animations) connects a higher-level site and a lower-level site, the former is referred to as the linking site (website) and the latter as the linked site (website).
2. If the linking site explicitly states on its initial screen or popup screen at the time of connection that it does not guarantee transactions between users and goods provided independently by the linked site, it shall not be liable for such transactions.

  • ① Posting content that violates this service agreement or is deemed to be commercial, illegal, obscene, or indecent
  • ② Posting content that defames or damages the reputation of other members or third parties through slander or defamation
  • ③ Posting content that violates public order and standards of decency
  • ④ Posting content that is deemed to be associated with criminal activities
  • ⑤ Posting content that infringes upon the copyright or other rights of third parties
  • ⑥ Posting content that violates other related laws

Article 12 (Ownership of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)

1. The copyright of the posts made by users belongs to the users, and the company has the right to use the posts if it obtains prior consent from the users.
2. The intellectual property rights and other rights related to the services provided and necessary software, images, marks, logos, designs, service names, information, trademarks, etc., produced and provided by the site belong to the site, so users cannot modify, rent, lend, sell, distribute, create, transfer, sublicense, pledge, commercially exploit, or allow third parties to perform such acts without explicit approval from the company, except as explicitly approved by the site.
3. The site reserves the right to edit and move posted content without prior notice, and may delete content without prior notice in the following cases:

  • ① Posting content that violates this service agreement or is deemed to be commercial, illegal, obscene, or indecent
  • ② Posting content that defames or damages the reputation of other members or third parties through slander or defamation
  • ③ Posting content that violates public order and standards of decency
  • ④ Posting content that is deemed to be associated with criminal activities
  • ⑤ Posting content that infringes upon the copyright or other rights of third parties
  • ⑥ Posting content that violates other related laws

4. Users shall be solely responsible for any civil or criminal liability arising from infringement of the copyrights of others by their posts.

Article 13 (Disclaimer)

1. In the event that the site is unable to provide services due to force majeure, war, or other circumstances equivalent thereto, the site shall be exempt from liability for providing the service.
2. The site shall be exempt from liability if damages occur due to the cessation of telecommunications services by telecommunications service providers or failure to provide services normally.
3. The site shall be exempt from liability for damages arising from unavoidable circumstances such as maintenance, replacement, regular inspections, construction, etc., of service equipment.
4. The site shall not be liable for damages caused by errors in the user's computer or by the user's inaccurate provision of personal information and email addresses.
5. The site does not have an obligation to verify or represent any opinions or information expressed in the service, and shall not approve, oppose, or modify opinions expressed by members or third parties. The site shall not be liable for any benefits gained or losses incurred by users relying on information contained in the service under any circumstances.
6. The site shall not assume any responsibility for transactions of goods or financial transactions between members or between members and third parties mediated through the service, and shall not be liable for the expected benefits of members regarding the use of the service.
7. The site shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users due to the expected profits or losses obtained through the service, and shall not be responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and quality of information, data, and facts posted by members on the service.
8. The site shall not be liable for damages incurred by users in relation to the use of the service, except for damages caused intentionally or negligently by the user.
9. The site does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and quality of services provided by subscribers or other relevant institutions, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by users using such content. Furthermore, the site shall not be responsible for compensating users for psychological harm caused by other users while using the service.

Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)

1. The site establishes and operates a dispute resolution organization to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and compensate for damages.
2. The site prioritizes the handling of complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if prompt processing is difficult, the site immediately notifies the user of the reasons and processing schedule.
3. In the event of an electronic commerce dispute between the site and a user, the user's request for relief from damages may be subject to mediation by a dispute resolution institution commissioned by the Fair Trade Commission or the mayor/governor.

Article 15 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

1. Lawsuits related to electronic commerce disputes between the site and users shall be governed by the exclusive jurisdiction of the local court having jurisdiction over the user's address at the time of filing. However, if the user's address is not clear or in the case of foreign residents, the lawsuit shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
2. Korean law shall apply to electronic commerce lawsuits filed between the site and users.

Supplementary Provisions

These terms and conditions shall apply from May 24, 2024.
